Full Marathon 2011
We are pleased to announce a Full Marathon will be added to the Half Marathon event in September 2011. At present we are finalizing the route and putting the plan together to make the first ever Cliffs of Moher Full Marathon a must have for every runners 2011 diary. 

The Full Marathon will start from Fanore Pier and will follow the North Clare Coastline towards Doolin. The Marathon runners will then pick up the Half Marathon course passing by the Cliffs of Moher then on to Liscannor and finishing in the beautiful seaside resort of Lahinch.

Voted one of the best drives in Europe and the top 10 cycle routes in the world, the Marathon course scenery will not disappoint.

A shuttle bus service will be arranged in the morning to drop off Marathon runners to the start line in Fanore, collection points will be from Doolin and Lisdoonvarna. The shuttle bus service we also be available from Lahinch.
to return runners back to Doolin and Lisdoonvarna after the Marathon is complete.

The Full Marathon will have a great atmosphere, supporters and locals will be encouraged to be at supporter zones evenly spread throughout the course so lots of encouragement will be given along the way. There will be music in areas around the course and stops that will provide water and other energy boosts to keep runners hydrated and energized.

The Full Marathon in 2011 will be limited to 500 runners with predicted times of 4hrs 30mins or less. The online entry fee is €65 (excluding active europes online booking fee). The online entry system is open now for the 2011 event.
