The Full Marathon is a real must for any running enthusiast that likes a challenging course of 1 large loop that covers some of the most beautiful scenery Ireland has to offer.
The Full Marathon will start at 9.00am from the promenade at Lahinch. Runners will have plenty of parking and room to warm up for the run ahead. The surfers will be out if the waves are high to keep you entertained while you wait.
Voted one of the best drives in Europe and the top 10 cycle routes in the world by lonely planet magazine, the Marathon course scenery will not disappoint.
After leaving Lahinch, runners will head to the quaint market town of Enistymon where supporters will be gathering to wish you well on the course; our first water stop will be located here. Then continuing on through Kilshanny, runners will head up towards Doolin Villiage via the church and run right through picking up the half marathon course. There shall be plenty of water stops and energy drink stops along the way.
At the top of Doolin Village runners will turn right and continue on the coast road to the Cliffs of Moher Visitors Centre, they will continue part of the course inside the visitors centre and view one of the 7 natural wonders of the world as they run toward the famous Cliffs of Moher.
Runners will then look forward to the final 6 mile journey downhill through Liscannor and on towards Lahinch. A festival atmosphere will be at the promenade when the runners arrive to congratulate them on their amazing achievements.
