Half Marathon 2010
Welcome to the first inaugural Cliffs of Moher Half Marathon that takes place on Saturday 25th September 2010. The Half Marathon distance is 13.1 miles and mileage markers and some KM Markers will be visible on the course around the beautiful Clare countryside. Pacers will also be present on the day to help you reach your desired time target. There will be a pacer at 1hr 30mins; 1hr 45mins & 2hrs. There shall also be a walking pacer at 4 hrs, the course will close after this pacer crosses the line at Lahinch. The Race will start from Doolin Pier at 8.00am for walkers and 9.00am for runners. Parking will be available for runners taking part in the event however it will be limited. All runners staying in Doolin will be asked to walk to the Doolin Pier for the start of the race. The race will finish in the beautiful seaside resort of Lehinch where entertainment and the prize ceremony will take place. There will be a shuttle bus service available nearby to take runners back to Doolin.

The Half Marathon is open to runners, joggers and walkers. If you are a wheelchair user wanting to take part in the race, please contact the organizers to discuss the terrain and the route in more detail.

Please take a look at our Training page on the website to assist you and give you tips to prepare for the big day.  Tom Enright is our fitness coach for the event and will be happy to answer any queries you may have.

To enter the Half Marathon you can register by clicking on the registration page of the website and following the instructions. It is €60 to enter (this excludes the Active Europe online booking fee) in return you will receive:
The course has been accurately measured and has a permit pending from the Athletics Association of Ireland. 

Please note: To enter the Cliffs of Moher Half Marathon you must be over 18 in accordance with the IAAF guidelines. It is recommended that any participant not currently involved in physical sporting activity, should consult their doctor before taking part in the event.




Marathon-photos.com will be covering the event and all photos will be available for purchase on the website www.marathon-photos.com after the event.
Prizes will be given to the first 5 males and the first 5 females and spot prizes will also be available on the day.
